1. Curriculum

Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) Laboratory High School offers a well-rounded curriculum that emphasizes academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics, to prepare students for future careers in these fields. It follows the K to 12 curriculum, covering primary to senior high school education, while also providing a specialized science program for gifted students. The school is committed to holistic education, integrating scientific and technological knowledge with humanistic and nationalistic values. Additionally, it focuses on developing critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to equip students for real-world challenges. Through this comprehensive approach, MMSU Laboratory High School aims to be a leading institution in secondary education, fostering well-rounded and future-ready graduates.

2. Teaching Plan related to English

Becoming an effective teacher requires thorough preparation, one of which is creating a clear and appropriate lesson plan for the material to be taught. After observing the class, I began drafting my own lesson plan. My cooperating teacher patiently provided an example of a lesson plan used by previous interns and guided me through each step of its preparation. She also explained the importance of having a detailed lesson plan, particularly in terms of the dialogue the teacher will deliver and the responses from students that need to be recorded precisely. I realized that the lesson plan in the Philippines is much more complex and detailed compared to Indonesia. Every step of the lesson must be clearly outlined, from the teacher's dialogue to the students' responses. This experience gave me new insights because, in my opinion, such details help make the material more structured, assist the teacher in delivering information effectively, and ensure that each classroom activity runs smoothly and is well-organized.

My lesson plan for Grade 10 students on the topic of the Moralist Approach was designed to be used for two teaching sessions. I structured the plan to cover the content comprehensively, ensuring that the material is effectively delivered across both lessons.
